The Rosewood Cottage is the practice hotel for the PRECEVID hospitality unit. This is to give a real life learning experience to students/learners which is a practical approach to the Competency Based Training (CBT) methodology. All the different departments in the hotel are for learning purposes: the front office, accommodation, bar, restaurant and kitchen. In order to give these hands -on experience the hotel is opened for business to attract in real guests and customers to enhance the training and also operate as a business entity that reflects standards in the hospitality industry.
The uniqueness of the hotel is its location in a nature endowed eco-friendly environment located within the serene farmlands at Gyinase, Kumasi, about 20 minutes’ drive from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Rosewood offers you a home away from home with personalized service and a 7 – acre herbarium of extinct plants for relaxation and meditation.

Accommodation
The rooms in Rosewood are named after the capital towns of the 10 original regions in Ghana and institutions on the continent such as Ecowas and AU. It is exciting to book a room in Accra, Bolgatanga, Cape Coast etc. and have a feel of the icons and symbols of these cities as you settle down.
Prekese Restaurant
The restaurant named after an important local spice called ‘Prekese’ gives you a taste of itself in the local and continental dishes served with delight. Prekese is believed to be highly medicinal with a lot of healing properties. Proudly organic food substances grown from farmlands are used in all food preparation. The restaurant offers all types of service for individuals, groups and events.
Ginger Bar
The bar offers you exotic and local drinks made from freshly squeezed fruit juices with a tint of ginger as a signature taste. Liquors of different flavours and size are available to complement the occasion
Conferencing
Different facilities for conferencing exist depending on the size and numbers involved the EED, VTF or Udo Bertrand conference rooms will serve your purpose for the specially required arrangements.

The uniqueness of Rosewood lying in the meadows fused with woods and well-manicured lawns and flowers provide a preferred location for events of all types that require a feel of nature and exclusivity. For garden weddings, engagements, parties, etc you are left with no choice!
